Smoked an Eclipse GTS this morning
Not that they are anything super special, but they are lighter than the TL and they have 235HP (claimed by Mitsu). This idiot with one of those huge cannister muffler drove up beside my black 04 A-Spec and revved it at the light. That's all I need.
Was not even close, we were even 0-55 or 60ish and then I walked away from him.
I love my TL!!!!

Kinda on the same subject, I've been wanting to run my '98 Eclipse Spyder against my 5AT TL just for grins. The Spyder has been moderately modified and pulls pretty well. I think it would be a damn close race.
By the way, a turbo-back exhaust system on the Spyder gained about 15 hp (go 4G63!).
But you're probably right about the craptacular V6 GTS losing power for the sake of looks and noise. I've left several GTS's in the dust with my li'l ol' 4 banger. :lol2:
