...is that on the 2007 TSX I have as a loaner right now while my Tranny is being replaced -- the windows all say ACURA, not HONDA in the lower left hand corners. Not to be silly, but it's about time if they truly want to be their own division and not just fufill the perception that they're nothing but Accords and Pilot's with different sheet metal.

Yea only the TSX and RL have the "Acura" label on the windows. I guess its because they came out of Japan??

i dont really follow the reasoning behind the concern...its no secret that acura is a division of honda... it doesnt bother me in the least that the windows say honda on them.

04 TLs have Honda on the the windows. 05+ have Acura. Correct me if I am wrong.

My '06 TL windows are marked "Honda". I agree that Acura markings would be nicer.

All Acuras are marked HONDA except RL and TSX. Im not sure about the new RDX. But i highly doubt that it will be marked ACURA

i have an 2005 TSX, i believe my says Honda too, however the 2006+ TSX have acura... i could be wrong...

if its built in japan, it will have acura on it. if its built in ohio, its gona have honda

The windows would only be remarked if they didn't have one that was already being used in another car I think. Probably wrong, but it could be a possibility. No need to make different windows if one from a honda worked with the acrua. It is more cost effective to integrate exsisting styles into new cars than making separate windows for every car style I think.

You would think that because there is no Acura brand in Japan that the TSX and RL would said Honda, and the models built in the states would say Acura.

I love Honda. But this is a marketing gaffe, and needs to be corrected. If Acura wants to be it's own division, it should say Acura.

Hard to keep an upscale image if you're toting your foundation companies parts. Acura is not Honda for a reason. I'm keenly aware that Honda is where all this comes from, but if you're going to market an upscale image, you can't tie it into a "lower" source.

It's marketing 101.

Its like Lexus...when I test drove it the sales man was saying a bunch of bs then we ended up talking about how Lexus was just an upscale Toyota. He kept arguing that "Toyota is Toyota and Lexus is Lexus." Acura should try to put Acura all over the car if they want the "luxury division" rep.
