It's the best phone that I have owned. My previous phones included 2 nokias, 2 LGs, and a Touchpoint.
It has an infra-red port so I can synchronize the address book with my lap-top, no driver needed with XP. It has speaker phone which is key for checking voicemail. Works really well with the TL, signal and battery are acceptable (I get about two days before charging, my plan is 1000 peak/month)
On another note, I noticed a cool feature the other day. When using HFL I can transfer the call back to the handset by pressing the left soft key.

My SX56 is great. My battery life appears to be a little better than others here. I can usually go about 2 or 3 days without charging (I do turn it off at night though). Although I've read the manuals on the TL front to back cover, I've not even sratched the surface of the SX56. LOVE the BT access as I've also got a Jabra BT-200 to use when playing golf, etc. Would love to meld the voice rec stuff that's built into the phone with the BT headset but until I actually read the manual...

I tried both the S56 and the T616. In the TL, in hands-free mode the S56 has better sound quality on both sides of the conversation compared to the T616. My T616 has the older firmware. I have heard that bluetooth sound quality may be improved with the newer T616 firmware. Has anyonew had a chance to compare the older and newer fimware versions of the T616 in the TL?
Battery life is SIGIFICANTLY greater with the T616 compared to the S56.

Tesla-
Agree with you on battery life.
My daughter's T616 was purchased just before Christmas and the sound quality is indistinguishable from my S56, so the firmware must have done the trick.

S56 Problems
I have an S56 and have had a bunch of problems -- but am still unsure if it's the HFL or the S56.
1. HFL Jam: The HFL stayed on even after the phone, and the car were turned off. This prevented me from using the stereo. Very annoying. The only thing that corrected it was taking to a dealer and disconnecting the battery.
2. Internal Bluetooth Error: This would come up on the phone every once in a while. I took the S56 off SNIFF mode; hasn't come back. I thought this may have cause the jam.
3. Stilling Jamming: Although it will eventually correct itself, the HFL stays on -- it's almost like they aren't communicating when the call has ended -- or it will drop the call and then stay in PHONE mode preventing me from using the stereo. Very frustrating.
4. Incoming Calls: The call comes in, I hit the "Answer" button, picks up but then the call is connected but not thru HFL -- I can hear it on the phone. I have to say "transfer" to get it back to the HFL. Not fun.
Any ideas, etc. would be appreciated. I am going to try and update the firmware. ... I have to figure that out.
