Sidemarker Problems NY People Please Read

I bought and installed Type S tails (DEPO) and sidemarkers (OEM), however, my left sidemarker doesn't work due to bulb problems. I bought them off ebay and called the seller (Flatiron Imports in Boulder, CO) and he said that his ebay guy was not in and won't be till monday. So now I have a problem...

If they refuse to replace the sidemarker for me for whatever reason, what can I do?

Here are my options...

1) Replace the sidemarker with Flatiron Imports

If they can't...

2) Can someone do me a huge favor (someone with a Type S around the NYC area) and put this sidemarker on their car and take the car in to have it replaced under warranty? You would either get to keep the new one and I take the old one off your car or vice versa. This would be greatly appreciated and would save me the hassle of shipping and what not. Anybody around here (I'm currently in New Hyde Park, NY and also Manhattan, NY) willing to help me out? It would be greatly apprecciated.

Or is there anyway I can replace the bulb? This would be my last and least liked option but if it's required then I will have to do this. Workers over at SpeedWorld in Baldwin have told me that there is no way to replace the led strip in there but I don't think that is true because people on here have modified their markers.

Option 2 would be the easiest. I think.

Thanks in advance.

You're seriously suggesting warranty fraud on a public forum?? And you think you'll get complete strangers to help you with it?

Wow....

aSPECtL06,

You modded your car with inferior parts and/or screwed something up during the installation that created problems. That makes these issues YOUR sole responsibility, NOT Acura's.

honestly, suck it up and buy yourself another one. a couple dollars gone here or there means nothing. everyone that mods their car can say they have lost some money at one time or another

That's why I suggested options 1 and 3 guys. Didn't know there was such a thing as warranty fraud so my apologies for that.

I guess this thread can be locked.

WOW. I truly wonder what has happened to honesty in our society. asectl06, I know your only 19, but your 19 and I can't believe you would suggest that. Seriously. I bet I will be paying for you through taxes as I am in college working my butt off for an engineering degree.
You should be ashamed of yourself. Sell your car and get something else till you grow up.

If you read my post above, you could see that I apologized for not knowing of such a thing.

But here you go again, for those of you who don't read all the posts in a thread....

SORRY!

I read the whole thread all 7 post.
You intended to rip Acura off. It's wrong to do so. Common Sense!

I know it is wrong to do so and didn't know anything of warranty fraud till now. Yes I do have common sense but I guess when I came up with the idea, I was just pissed about the fact that it didn't work even though if I plug the 06 marker in, it works. So I guess my anger got the best of me. So sorry you had to waste some time to read this or whatever but now I realized my mistake and don't need to hear anyone else say something useless like other people have. Got the point and apologized for it.

Mods can close this thread if they'd like.

That's a good idea but I think it is sealed very tightly, is it not? I'm going to call Flatiron Imports on Monday and see if they will replace it for me free of charge, which they probably should.

The seller should replace your marker.
Otherwise, the better option would be to just buy yourself a new set. Might save you from a few rude, unwanted comments?

In my experience, just go with the OEM part as opposed to the cheaper knock off. The OEM part is better quality. You'll end up wasting your money instead of trying to save money on the cheaper low quality knock off. Besides it's not really that expensive.

^^^ Agree....if you paid with PayPal...file a claim with them...they will investigate for you. There are new rules on eBay that help bidders...I have over 18K rating, so work with paypal on this issue...and in the mean time...buy yourself a good quality replacement.

I always believe in buying something expensive once than to purchase an inferior cheaper similar product numerous times.

Good Luck.

They should be LEDs not bulbs! but the ebays are darker and than OEM so it would be pretty apparent they are aftermarket.. just go buy the real ones or get them cheap from Tim @ HAW
