Side view mirror blind spot attachment

Does anyone on here have these? How do you like them?

For less than $5, it's something that I would consider.

i had a rectangular looking one on my old 89 civic that i liked a lot better than a round one...

i would not put one on the TL though. imo, the image on it is so small it's hard to see anyway. At night it'd be very hard to see a car in that little mirror there unless it had side markers or something.

If you do put one on, just the drivers side is needed really. when you look at the passenger side mirror you can more or less use your periphery to check the blindspot. If not your periphery, you're already more or less looking at that side.

Don't have one - I wouldn't put one on lol

Properly set mirrors + quick shoulder checks have always worked for me.

Do you have your side mirrors the "common" way or the "smarter" way? This is what I mean by the smarter way.

http://www.caranddriver.com/features...id-blind-spots

Saw this article and have been running my mirrors this way ever since. IMO those little mirrors take up too much space that's even more valuable on the smaller mirrors of a passenger car. On a van/truck/suv, maybe, but on a TL, not for me.

Not to thread jack, and I'm sure its been discussed before, but when pulling up to a stop sign intersection like a T, does anyone occasionally not see a car coming from the right- its perfectly blocked by the Pillar? This has happened 2-3 times to be (only owned for 3 months) and is pretty scary.

Yes, the a-pillars in the 3G are HUGE. That's one thing I hate about the car. I remember once waiting a few seconds before make a left turn. Good thing, because there was a large tow truck coming my way. I would have been squashed. I've also had the car for 3 months and I'm always nervous making left turns.

I have them and use them all the time. The A-pillars block alot. Its easier for me to look at the mirror and see EVERYTHING next to and behind me.

Mine are adjusted according to this article, I saw this somewhere else. Once I got used to it I eliminated hitting those cars in the blind spot...

I used to have them on my '99 Civic. Definitely helped in Houston traffic and opened up my blind spots.

The TL side mirrors don't seem any bigger, so I don't see any reason they would hinder your view.

I have been adjusting my mirrors this way for years. My son took a drivers ed class and his instructor told him to do it this way and I adopted it. I haven't had a close call since.

For the most part, I don't like 'em. Looks ugly.

OTOH, my Fusion has 'em built in and they are very useful.

OR ....

You could do this:

Parallel Mirror Adjsutment - Eliminate Blind Spots

These look like the most common sense alternatives:

www.multivexmirror.com

https://secure57.softcomca.com/multi...&Submit=Search

$43 each or $83 for the pair
