Side airbag sensor location

I'm considering getting after-market wide-angle rear-view mirrors installed onto my TL and the company says to do so, the car must have 12-volt wiring and the side airbag sensors must not be located in the doors. Does anyone know their location?

I think they are located in the door, cuz if some one leans against the door, the airbag off light will come on.

I thought I saw pictures of a TL somewhere on the forum that had been involved in an accident and showed the side airbags coming from the outside (nearest the door) edge of the front seats and from the headliner along the tops of the windows.

Has anyone experieced this. I read in the manual that the side airbag sensor would disengage the system if someone was leaning into the door. Have not been able to have light come on with someone leaning into the door. Wondering if there may be something wrong with my system?

Side airbag sensor is in the passenger side seatback, that is why the there is no heat in the seatback on pass side.

Side airbag is in seat also (not door), curtain bag is over door in headliner.

This is from svc manual.
