Should I trade '07 for '07?

I love my cgp. Absolutely love it but I found this:

http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/va...388995924.html

And bam i want it! But it has a $5800 insurance claim/ hit on it described as a repair on front right. They gave me exceptional trade in value but my TL is flawless as in no hits at all. Is it worth it?

My TL has 50000km and the aspec has 59000km. Both are tech. I Noticed my seats looked much better than the wdp. So based on the above hit what would be a good offer and/or should I just skip it?

****above numbers are in Canadian dollars.

wtf... its not a true aspec car.

if you really want the kit, buy the kit for $750US.
I see no point in trading for the same exact car, minus the color and the kit.

True aspec includes:
- thicker steering wheel with blue stitching and grey thumb inserts.
- Aspec suspension
- aspec wheels
- aspec lip kit
- and finally aspec badge.

Pass. Buy the lip kit and the wheels from AckTL05.

Justin- you forgot the brakes (AT models).

I agree with them. Keep your car. The most thing people look at when buying a car is if the title is clean. Don't even trade it in.. that's like depreciating the TL you have now. Why would you do such a thing? Lol

Not all true aspecs have the steering wheel
Mine was a "sport model" from December 2003, before they even called it aspec. No badging at all and no blue stitching.

PS...no friggin way, you pay taxes on the trade/purchase and it's the same car and you said the seats suck in the new one and it's been in a 6 grand crash. Are you nuts?

interesting.. Southernboy(paul) talks about how in '04 when he bought his 6mt, thats how they were marketed as.
he even says that the brochures display or market the TL as a 6mt sport sedan and thats how they all should have came.
I'm glad i have a 6mt!

When you look up an 04 TL on acuraoemparts.com you're given a list of trims: base, base w/ navi, or sport, sport w/ navi, sport w/ summer tires, whatever.

6mt = "sport", as when you pick the "engine type" you're only given "KA6MT"

It would make more sense if you were trying to trade up for a 6mt...

Im pretty sure the 07-08's don't have the new steering wheels. BTW that car does have the A-spec wheels and from the looks of it, the lip spoiler is thicker just as the A-spec one is.

Anyway...to spend 5k to get almost the same car minus kit and wheels is crazy. I would never trade in a car that I know is running good/had from the start for someone else's problems. ESPECIALLY since it was in an accident..

If you have 5k to spend, trade your car in for a TYPE-S.

You will lose $$$ in translation because (I think its stupid personally) everytime a used car is sold, you have to pay taxes. Add in registration and all that and it isn't going to be worth it to spend extra money to sidestep at best.

Not even, I paid that amount (actually 800 less) for an 07 Type S with only 5K more in KM.

What is it? You don't like your CGP color? or you like the "A-Spac"

I'd just get your car repainted if you don't like the color. Plus it says damaged, blah blah.
