Should I shed the body-mouldings?
I just put ebony A-Specs on my ABP TL and got the windows tinted. I also bought a flush-fit Type-S type spoiler which I'm having installed this weekend.
I'm thinking about having the body shop remove the side mouldings on the doors when they take the spoiler off.
Opinions?

Tulsa, I vote for getting rid of them too. When I bought my Type S, the dealership actually talked me out of them. So if the dealership doesn't like them, I wouldn't got with them either.

these r the items i used
use the blower to lift a corner of the moldin up, and them either pull slowly off usin the blower or use dental floss while also usin the blower
after is off it should look like this
after that then throw the bug off on it
Let the bug off sit for a few maybe 2 mins after wipe it off with a cloth, then proceed to wax!
hope this helps!

I have them on my car and I like them.
And yes, you will not find too many people here on azine that are big fans of them. So my suggestion is if you like them leave them on, if you don't like them take them off, simple as that I guess

Full of water...
i dont like, but i think they look better on the lighter colors. these really only help if you slam your door open, but they really cant help others from hitting you unless by chance their door lines up directly with your molding. i say scrap them!

ABP, Thanks for the How-To shots!
VERY encouraging to see that yours came out so flawless, that is the only reason I was questioning whether to ditch them.
I'll post new pics post-spoiler and post-mouldings.

I have them too and I installed them after I bought my TL-S, it acutually saved me from receiving door ding from another TL. But like CarrieLynn Said if you don't like them then take them off.

OK, using the excellent guide posted above, I killed my side moldings today and detailed the outside of my car. There is definitely some very slight fading where the BSMs were, but you really have to look for it to see it. All in all, I'm very pleased with the results. Now I've just got to get that scar on the front lip fixed... Anybody got a spare front bumper they want to donate?
Thanks again ABP_04TL for the how-to.

Great point, I hadn't thought about the lip covering it up. I'm a few months away from dropping another $$$ on my ride, and I don't want to buy the lip until I can buy the whole kit, but I can live with the scar until then.
