Should I Consider?

What do you guys think about this 05 SSM?

From the listing:

"This car is FACTORY A-SPEC with 18in rims and new tires, navigation system and nice black leather mint condition you wont find same car for that low of a price i accept offers. THE BEST ACURA OUT HERE!!! / Color: Silver Fuel: Gas Miles: 45,000 Body Style: 4-Door Sedan Engine: 3.2L V6 EFI SOHC Transmission: Automatic Drive: Front Wheel Drive"

This guys is asking $20,500 which I should be able to push around a bit.

I'd be coming from an 03 TL-P with 130,000 miles. Thought?

If you can, find a 6spd.

I was thinking of that as well but I'm always stopping and going for work - wouldn't be practical

That's a nice TL!! Looks great with the A-spec kit, wheels and modded lights! Does it have the A-spec suspension as well?

That's a good question, I was wondering that as well seeing that he has the A-Spec badge, wheels and kit. I'm going to call him after work and ask.

Question

Have you ran a carfax on it? I'd suggest doing that before buying the car.

Pretty sure it was a base TL, with Aspec body kit and rims thrown on it...

I can't tell, but is the steering wheel carbon fiber? My eyes are hurting today...

Definitely base TL being an 05. But wasn't Aspec (wheels, kit, suspension, whether it is all three or any combination) an option for any TL or did they have Aspec lines as well straight from the factory?

Cleared headlights too.

I have Navi but if I had to do it over again I would buy navigation after the fact

The mid is on the right on my 04, I didn't even know until now that newer TLs had them somewhere else.

The price seems about right for that year and mileage, assuming the car is in good condition. Of course it never hurts to offer a grand or two less but even if you end up paying what he's asking it's still not a bad deal.

Dude, consider carefully...look at the last picture of the interior. The 2005 models didn't come with "plastic inserts" in the steering wheels; they came with the polished Acura 'A' emblems in the middle of the steering wheel...that's either a 2004 TL or 2004 steering wheel replaced in his so called 2005 SSM.

It's an 05 TL with 04 airbag... I would ask the seller for a carfax and a bodyshop to look over it. That def. arouses suspicion. Ask the seller first if the airbags have ever been changed. Also it looks like the a-spec steering wheel has been installed too. Blue stitching and silver leather give it away...

PS.ggesq, meh isnt a good reason for a good post..

Yea, I am definitely bringing that up. Hopefully he just swapped the stearing wheel instead of the car being in a accident...
