Question Should I buy the stock 18" rim and tire?

Is $1600 a good deal for a set of 4 wheels (18" stock rims) + 4 tires (Yokohama stock tires)? or you think there is a better deal?

If you have stock 18" rims and stock yokohama tires, could you give some recomendations (pro/con) and whether if it worths to buy?

Anyone with pic of 18" wheels on Anthracite? (close-up pic would be great!)

Thanks.

I have the stock 18's on SSM they look great, the tires the dealer put on were the Yoko ES-100's to date still can't get them balanced even with the Hunter, that shows them balanced, or there is a deeper non wheel/tire issue that may be the cause. I am going to switch to the Yoko DBS2 it is all season and presumed quieter. I would go with the 18's and the DBS2's, but that is just my opinion.

V/R,
Nick

Is there any other brand of tires that fit the OEM 18" wheels?

I got my OEM 18's from Ebay for $1K and put Falken ST-115 on for an additional $650. If the dealer qouted you $1600, I bet that is the up charge for the option. You do not get to keep the stock rims and tires with that option. I am keeping my stock rims and putting Blizzak on for the winter.

I'd LOVE to see some pics of this as well! I really like the 18" Acura wheels, but you can get a nice set of aftermarkets that will be more 'unique' for about the same price.

Thanks!

I have Yoko ES100's on my car and I hate them. They are the loudest tire I've ever owned.

Thanks for the tire info, guys. I checked the Yokohama web site for info on dbs2 tires and like the fact that they are quiet and good handling. Have anyone got those tires installed and what's your oppinion? What brand do you think the best performance/quiet tires for 18" rims?

I'll post some pic of the rims once I get them this weekend.

Thanks.

I dont remember where but I know I have seen those rims available online. sorry for being so vague but I looked at so many rims before I picked mine that the sites all seem to run together.

I have a couple pics form a while back. Not good at this posting thing, but feel free to e-mail me at moreace1@aol.com and I will send them over. That is exactly what I am looking for so I can't wait to see your pics. I don't think these do them jsutice. not the best pics, btui I remember the person raving about them.
