Short Shifter

Hey guys, who sells short shifters for the 04-05 TL's and which one is the best in your opinion?

that i know of so far only comptech makes a short shifter for the tl. dont have one so i cant rate it... from what i hear they are like 50$ but cost several hundred to install unless you tackle that job yourself (and from what i hear its not an easy job)

I installed a UUC motorworks utimate short shifter on my BMW. I had to jack up the car and get uderneath it to install, but it only took about an hour. (and I took it REAL slow). It's not as hard to do as you'd think. Do it yourself and save $$

if i may ask, and i am a total agnostic on this matter, what is the short shifter useful for exactly?

The TL instructions from Comptech are much different than one from a BMW would take. My shop will charge roughly 3 hours labor for the job because you tackle the shifter from the top, not the bottom of the car. I have done others where you only hoist the vehicle in the air and bolt something in, maybe have to move the exhaust pipe, but nothing major. For the TL its an easy job, just lots of labor time.
