Well, the G35 has been out for awhile, so the TL gets a boost because it's new. I'm wondering what the rankings would be if the TL and G35 came out at the same time. But either way, both cars are great. People need to stop this obsession with beating the G35.

Acura has only added 10 more ponies and a tad more torque... Infiniti came out in 03 and won car of the year with their 260 hp sedan/coupe and in 04 beat out the TL in handling. So devout acura fans are concerned about losing ground... and are pretty well justified as the power numbers climb on the G and acura has had some tranny issues etc...
no model is trouble free and gearing has a lot to do with the formula..
0-60 times, handling, and features, are the big 3 items ... of course looks price etc...
Oh yeah and now chrysler is coming out with an 300 SRT-8 model with a 6.1 liter hemi... 400+ hp and 400+ ftlbs torque and complete with a gas guzzler tax and no deactivating 4 cylinders. This baby has all 8 pumping all the time...
All for less than an A spec and it has F1 20 inch tires on it...
They might as well come back with a road runner... !!

In 91 the maxima had 190 ponies and that's about where it stayed till about 2000 when they came out with 222. Why... you ask? Because in 99 the newly designed tl had 225. And, in the fall of 00, the S engine came out in a coupe only (CL S) with 260. This is where the HP wars started.

This thread is heading downhill so fast I don't know which car will be at the bottom first.
It should be in Ramblings, so if anyone wants to start it again there, feel free to do so.
