seattle, washingtonians...clear/black out headlights TOGETHER?!
Well, I remember speaking with a handful of you at the Federal Way meet, and many of you wished to "get a group" to clear and black out our headlights TOGETHER. So, just to get this moving along...who's interested?
i don't exactly have a location? we just need an oven!...SOMEONE volunteered to have it at his place? but i don't quite remember his name..........my apologies

Guess I won't be one of the very few cleared out TL's out there roming the streets of seattle. Words of advice to you guys that are embarking upon this mission:
1. Start early - especially if you plan on blacking out and TAKE YOUR TIME
2. Use a wet towel trick if using oven. Maybe start with a lower temperature (180 F) and if it doesn't start coming apart easily, increase the temp. Should come apart pretty easily.
3. Make sure paint is pretty dry/cured before reassembling or else you'll get paint fumes onto the clear lenses and reflectors.
4. Seal them well as you live in Seattle and moisture can/will get in if there are gaps.
Also, I regret that I didn't do the ZKW replica lense swap. This dramatically improves the light output as well as creates a distinct cutoff. It's $80 and you can only do it with the housing taken apart. It's been researched/discussed on HID planet numerous times. The TL Bi-Xenon's coupled with ZKW lenses is the most sought over HID retrofit around. Dudes are dremmelling their headlights up to install our projectors which is rediculous but sweet. It's way easier for 3G guys to do this mod as we already have the lights to begin with and you're already taking the housing part to clear them anyways. Good luck though everybody!
