I need to purchase a new battery for my 04TL, and am checking into options.

I have 60,000 miles on my factory battery, which ain't bad.

I need a battery that will hold up well to the desert heat (supposed to hit around 111 DegF today).

Are Gel Cells or AGM batteries worth the extra money?

Any information on manufactures/part numbers/where to buy/price would be greatly appreciated! I would like to buy my new battery before my current one is dead.

I'm from Tucson.
I've had good luck with the batteries from Costco.
They have a pretty long warranty.
I had one in my boat I just replaced, it was getting weaker, but it still worked fine, I never had to jump it.
I took the old one back to Costco, thinking there was still some warranty on it. Turns out there wasn't; I didn't realize it was 1998 when I put that battery in it. Sure didn't seem like that long ago.
I've got a gel in a Miata that's at least 3 years old, too.

Does anyone know if there is any advantage to AGM or Gel-Cells for high temperature climates?
