Seafoam

Ive read that seafoam works really well in cleaning the engine of carbon deposits, but ive read that it should be sucked into the brake booster line. Does anyone have a pic of what/ where the line is? Ive searched but havent found any pics.

and is using it on my car with just under 20K is a waste of time and money?

im very curious myself about this

Lots of entertaining Seafoam videos on YouTube for your viewing enjoyment. I've used it as a gas additive for several years now on my 04TL.

I performed the seafoam treatment today before my oil change. Here a some pictures of the hose I use to suck the seafoam into the intake.

Located between the engine and the firewall.

I disconnected the rubber hose on the right with the white dot on it.

Here is the view from the left side of the engine bay.

After the treatment and the oil change, my car feel and drive like the first day I got it. I didn't really have any hesitation before, but it smooth my engine idle and drivability out alot. This treatment is a must!

You can do seafoam every 15k miles thru the gas tank- with 1 can in 1/4 tank and a can in the manifold vac line or brake booster
Keeping things clean makes for a better running car.

See gen2 threa Seafoamed th ol TL for 15 pages of tips

Yeah, that is where I got all the info. I made sure I read the hold thread before. It was very informative and very easy to do. I really didn't have that much white smoke. It only last for a couple of minutes on the highway. I only did it because of all the carbon residue from my tail pipes. Like I said, the results was outstanding though. Just a note though, it is much better when you reset the PCM by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.

I did a lot today. I did the Seafoam treatment, oil change, ATF drain and fill x3 and installed new brakes and rotors. She feels brand new! The smoke gave my neighbors a little scare but cleared up once I floored it onto the freeway.

I would hate to live next to neighbors who constantly need to voice their opinion about such matters. Thank goodness I live on 2 acres of land in pretty much a rural area just outside of Albany, NY. No people to spy and ask dumb questions...lol :).

You should have started yelling to your wife or whoever, "GET ME AN EXTINGUISHER!! NOW!" and watched the reactions on their faces...lol.
