Scheduled maintenance

You'll get a dichotomy of responses at this question. Some will say yes, others will say no, depends on their experiences.
My experience is such that you're really paying someone $400+ for labor on inspecting something. I can do the inspections myself. Just get a Hayne's manual and look out for anything out of the ordinary: cracking, smells, peeling, loose stuff, etc. The Hayne's manual will tell you what maintenance intervals you should be using, and how to do minor to major repairs. Has saved me countless amounts of money.
I would do the inspection and maintenance yourself. If you don't feel comfortable with it, have it done, and possibly even ask the tech to explain and show you what to look for. I asked this the first time and the tech was happy to oblige. Good luck!

I wanna say the 60K maint is mostly inspection with oil change, tire rotation. Things you can easily do yourself and save some cash. There may be a few other things, not sure. Check your owner's manual.

if you can DIY the fluids- brake fluid flush, trans service, ps fluid etc
you can save and do a better service than most shops--they are in a hurry---
you are taking care of your baby,,
lube for the door hinges,,checking the cv boots for tears, silicone spray the window tracks and seals....
ck the book and then think the next step
Seafoam is loved by many - at 60 you are ready for some brand of cleaner in the gas at least

About the only regular maintenance you're going to have that you won't be able to do yourself most likely is the cam belt (timing belt). Other than that, swapping filters is a piece of cake. At worse pay someone to handle the fluids since that can be a mess and a pain in the ass to deal with.
