yoyo,

Rick Case at Sunrise and 441 is probably the best. I have bought 3 cars with them. The GM, Randy Horton is a very nice guy and hardly looses a sale. Tell him Fausto sent you, and if there is any $$ for the referral, you can use it.

2nd vote for Rick Case. My experience leasing my TL from them was pretty smooth and painless. Nice people to deal with. Ask for Travis Rogean (Sales Consultant). Super nice guy. I'd also like to mention the service dept is an A+ operation. The waiting room alone is great. Free coffee, snacks, and internet access to pass the time. Pretty cool.

Rick Case

Bought mine from Rick Case also Dayton Diaz was my sales guy. He is good at sales. Very prompt on returning emails, etc.

Finance department is slow as heck. It took way to long to complete an all cash deal. I was there for a really long time after I agreed to the purchase so plan on being there for a while or insist on having the paperwork ready to sign by the time you get there.

After purchase support from Rick Case's sales people is not so good. I had some paperwork that needed to be done for my out of state purchase and it wasn't handled very nicely.

Their parts department is real good. I took them the prices from Curry acura over the internet and they matched them (~40 for mud guards, ~120 for the bra).

I got my 04 TL Auto w/navi in August for 32250 +499dlr fee. Their prices are great. They'll give you a no hassle internet quote, but if you push Dayton, I'm sure you can knock off a few hundred from the price they give you. Or you could go in and negotiate also.

Travis was actually the guy who delivered my last car (I believe the sales manager can't do that. BTW Randy is a sales manager, not a GM, my bad).
Travis is indeed a nice guy.

If you don't mind, could you post the quotes so we know what they are looking for on the 05 w/Navi.

Thanks,

So far, on first contact I have recevied quote(s) of 34k, 34k, and 33.8k, for a TL w/ Nav. I wish they offered me sharabi's deal of 32,250 listed above. Seem like, i need to put some time into negotiations.

The Rick Case person hasn't gotten back to me yet, he said he was out of the office and would return tomorrow AM to go over the quotes. The sales person was Marcelo i think, pretty nice guy.

One of the dealers I spoke with (Acura of S. Florida) said as long as you get your car serviced there, they give you free tires for life, which is appealing. Does rick case offer similar deals?

My deal

Hi Yoyo,

Don't forget my $32,250 had a $499 dealer fee that was not negotiable. Essentially that puts the car at $32,750 plus tax and tags.

I hear the 05 is about $300 more so I think if you get anywhere near 33k on the 05 w/Navi that would be pretty good? Anyone else have any opinions on this?

Timeline

I also bought mine 8/9/04 which puts it at the end of the year pricing since the 05 came out 1.5 months later.

I purchased a 2004 TL AT (without NAVI) for $29,995 from Palm Beach Acura in July. The dealer prep fee was about $500, I believe. They sent me an email with this offer, so I didn't need to negotiate for it at all. I did have to negotiate the trade in value.

PB Acura offers free tires for life. The catch is that you must have all maintenance performed at the dealership and you must follow their maintenance schedule. This schedule is above and beyond the manufacturer's requirements, so you pay one way or another.

They offer a pre-paid maintenance plan that I did sign up for. It was about $1200 for 5 yrs or 60,000 miles. It covers all the dealer recommended planned maintenance. This includes oil changes every 3,750 miles, tire balance and rotate every 7,500 miles, alignment every 15,000 miles, and a lot more stuff at 30,000 and 60,000 miles. With the prepaid plan, you won't skip any of the maintenance needed for the free tires, so you'll get them too at some point.

Thats a good point. Yeah, 33k would seem about reasonable. Anyone got an '05 TL/nav around this price recently?

The prepaid maintenance seems interesting, I take it that it only is good for that one dealer you bought it from? If so, I prob wouldn't consider it since I am not exactly sure if I will live in the same area for 5+ years.

Rick Case gets my vote as well. Marcello Barbosa is my salesman. He knows the cars and is very low key in his sales approach. He sold me my '04 TL in May and has just processed my Buyer's Order for an '05 RL which should be arriving next week.

BTW, if you're at all interested in an '04 TL, Anthracite/Quartz/5AT/Nav, w/ 4,500 miles it will probably be at Rick Case Acura sometime next week. Trading it on the RL. I've never had any problems with it. Not even a rattle. It is immaculate. They offered me more than Blue Book on my trade.

Did the RL run MSRP for you or less?

I got my TL-S from Rick Case 3 years ago. My salesman was David Kalish. A great guy. This was one of the most painless (if not THE most painless) car purchases I have ever made.

Service is good but don't count on loaners. Only once did I get a loaner, and that was when I paid for 36K mile service. Two out of 3 times that my tranny failed I had it replaced by Rick Case and they could only hook me up with a reantal (Dodge Stratus and Mazda6).

That is correct. There are clauses that allow you to cancel if you dispose of the car and probably if you move. You do get something back, but I don't know the details off the top of my head.

There must be some demand going, I was expecting to easily find a deal for around 33k ( all fees included - dealers $499 etc). Seems everyone wants $34k, guess I can wait it out, maybe they will be willing to deal at the end of the month.

Scanlon Acura - Reed Lyles

Hi Yoyo,

I've purchased my last three Acuras (RSX, MDX and TL) from Scanlon Acura, in Fort Myers. Reed Lyles is the Sales Mgr and is very approachable and low key. He's a big Gator fan/alum. I bought my '04 TL from him right after Hurricane Charley passed through our area. The dealership was closed for almost two weeks and when they reopened business was obviously slow. I received a good deal on my TL w/navi ($32,500) but an even better deal on my trade.

I have nothing but excellent things to say about Reed and Scanlon Acura. Go give `em a try.

Hey YoYo, I'm also in So. Fla, and pretty much ready to bite.

Maybe we can negotiate a special deal.... 2 ATs w/ Nav for $31,500 a piece? Maybe better?

Who knows!

Hi, you posted on Nov 14, "bought mine less than 2 weeks ago 05 anthracite metallic black leather int. ed morse in pompano (tom pyres) great guys. $33,500 total... email me i will fax you my invoice" I'd appreciate that. I have spoken with Jim Ordonez there and I thought his pricing was way out of line.

I'd apprecisate a copy of that invoice as it will give me an inside look, and perhaps an edge next time I got to deal.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards, Neil
