Rip My Tl

Was traveling in NJ to the george washington bridge. 4 including myself were in the TL. Meaning a full load which made the tein coils bouncy as usual over bumps. Traveling at 65-70mph on open road i then came onto a ramp which turned right. It was two lanes wide and Not sharp just a normal turn. As i was turning the car went over the spot where they connect two parts of the road togethor; the rear jumped up. I then noticed the car was suddenly sideways, then within 2 secs i was a little over a 45 degree angle. I immediately turned the wheel to the left and caught my self drifting about 30ft, i panicked and i hit the brakes.. From there 2 secs later the car was facing on coming traffic then booom i hit the front left side with the guard rail. i then bounced of do a 360 then slaaammm hardddddd the front right side. right after the car came to a hault i prayed this was all a dream, unfortunately it wasnt and my car was totaled. I was ok and everyone else as well. Acura safety is no joke, its good and saved me and buddys. It could had been worse. Especially in a parkway where there constantly 18 wheelers doin 80+mph. I could had been smashed by one and it b GAMEOVER..

I did somewhat of the same type of crash once, only it was raining and it was my GF's older Honda Accord. We hit so hard, the hood of the car flew off to the other side.

Glad we made it out safe, and that you and your friends had the same luck. The car can easily be replaced.

Yikes. Sorry to see this man but it is a good thing all of you made it out safe. Hate seeing things like this happen but you're right, Acura safety is good and allowed for you to make it out ok.

Sorry about the car though. It was very nice.

WOW, that looks pretty bad man. I'm glad everyone is ok. These cars do a very good job in proecting it's passangers.

I'm actually doing nightime construction on the GWB. Started last week and finishing this week. Did this happen LATE Monday night? We noticed an ambulance, fire, and tow truck come through our work zone.

Sorry for your pain...

The important thing is that you and your friends are ok.

Cars can be replaced.

Say a few prayers and move on.

take the exhaust out.. the remaining wheels in good condition and see if the cai is still good.... take it all off and the type s tails too remaining teins in good condition... no point in losing that stuff... if you plan on getting another tl... then good for you... but if not... that will cover ur deductible easy...

ps. it is a shame man... but you were coming overly hot 65-70 on one of those swooping crappy streets near gwb are horrible....

glad everyone is ok...

Wow....i'm so not getting after market shocks! from reading your story it looks like hitting the brakes was where you went wrong...usually when your hydroplaning(i say that cuz though you were actually drifting...you didnt do this on purpose...you had no control) you let off the gas completly and dont even think about touching the brake! let the car coast until you can gain control. I've been in a couple situations like that myself. taking my foot completely off the pedals have saved me and my ride plenty of times...especially in rain. Over all...I'm glad that you and your friends are ok. Thats what really matters. Dont be so bummed out about the ride....at the end of the day, its just a hunk of plastic and metal. Acura makes other ones just like it. Take care.

glad everyone made it out safe, the car definitely took a beating...as others have asked, how much you think you'll get for the car from insurance and any plans on the next car?

Let me get this straight. You're saying the reason you crashed was because of the suspension? Which tein setup did you have? .

I was luck as well. When we saw the car the next day no one realized how close I came to losing the wheel completely.

Even though you have lost your car it is only a car and can be replaced but you are a life and are still here so that is all that matters.

Sorry about the ride man, but yeah I hear ya on the suspension, sometimes its too bouncy and you end up catching air.

I don't know what car I would get if I had to replace the TL.
