Review: JLC LED DRL

I recently bought a pair of 9005 LEDs from JLC lighting which is located only couple minutes away from me. I had a projector style 9005 LED before, and that was bright, I had gone to JLC for some other parts when one of the guys showed me one of their new 9005 LEDs. Keep in mind I already have a DRL harness and resistor from iJDMTOY so these are powered at the full battery voltage. I decided to try them out for a quick comparison and boy these are BRIGHT. My previous set was already brighter than most people's but these JLC LEDs took it to a new level. Their staff was very friendly and helpful when I had questions.
Here is a picture of my previous LEDs(left) vs the new JLC LEDs(right):

and here it is installed in my headlight:

Now, many of you guys may be having concerns about fitment. On the passenger side it was a close fit, but everything went in fine with no issues. Onto the driver's side the heatsink does hit the frame slightly. It will fit if you don't mind the bulb sitting slightly angled, but if you want it to be perfect like me you would have to remove your headlight and make a slight cut/bend on the frame behind the headlight. All that was needed was approx 5mm of a cut, but it's really up to you. Here is a link to the product: http://www.jlclightings.com/24W-LED-...ma-p/dp24w.htm

It's a pure white 5000k color, no blue hint at all, which I like. Being a lighting enthusiast I felt that this product is worth every penny, you really do get what you pay for.
I will post some pics tomorrow, but these will light up a dark alleyway if you ever wanted to drive at night without your headlights.

Overall I would give this product 9/10 because of the fitment issue on the driver's side.

Wow. Too bad about having to modify the frame though, that puts me off. I wonder how easy it would be to cut off a piece of the heatsink instead.

This looks nice and crisp! Does the heatsink get really hot?

I'm sure it would be possible to cut the heatsink, however I felt like it was a part of the frame you would literally never see anyways. I'll try touching the heatsink after leaving it on for awhile to see how hot it gets. I'm sure the heat is not an issue though seeing as how the heatsink should dissipate most of the heat

Best to wait a minute or two after a drive.
Considering how hot resistors get [it's enough to burn through some carpet lining] I'd be wary about the heatsink o_o

Those are bright as hell, do you still have any pics of the old ones lit up? I just dont like how that big ass heatsink looks- is it covered when you have all the plastic underhood covers on?

of course, you probably couldnt see the heatsink if you tried. the frame blocks your view like 100%, you'd have to put your face directly next to the radiator to see the heatsink
