Resale value (good!)
Wow. If the listings on Autotrader are a good indicator, the resale value on these TLs is pretty good. Did a search for a used 2004 TL and found the the average price is just shy of $32K. That includes one 'suspect' listing for $11,998. On the other hand, the dealership in Corte Madera, CA wants $37,988 for a used TL!
At this rate, my TL will be worth about $47,000 in a couple of years! (at least at that dealership)
Kelly Blue Book shows a 2004 TL 5AT w/navi and 10K miles has a 'private party' price of $33,175.
Looks like you can't get hurt (financially) with this vehicle. And probably won't get hurt physically either (crash test ratings)!
Just wanted to share the love...

The Tl holds up better than almost any other mass produced car. Two weeks ago when I bought my new Lexus RX330 the salesman apologized that he could offer me only "wholesale auction" value for my 2000TL. It was almost $14k.. Hell, I paid less than $28k new. So the "lowball" offer was still >50% of what I paid years ago!! And no, he didn't pad the price of the Lexus. I got $4200 off sticker(invoice+$400).
