replacing rear turn signal lights

now that i have custom taillights, my turn signals blink white, and i dont really wanna go all crazy putting in led's just for turn signals.

but i went to pep boys to see if they had any red or amber coated 7443 bulbs and they do not. All they had were white/clear.

Are they gonna come in the fashion I want them to, or will i have to go with LEDs? If I go with LEDs, what would be the best lights (i prefer vleds.com) and which resistor would I need?

How bout this: http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/P...35733-1-2.html

And I'm not sure which resistors I would need ... http://www.v-leds.com/LED-Load-Resistors/c122488-1-3/

I rather just go with regular bulbs if possible, since its cheaper, but depending upon whats available, we'll see!

Thanks in advance!

Google turned up a few sites:

http://www.fixthisride.com/showprodu...prod_id=148201

http://www.automotivelightingusa.com...oducts_id=1286

http://www.automotiveconcepts.net/st...medium=organic

http://www.racerwheel.com/lighting-l...lb--7443-.html

http://www.eautoworks.com/product-Raybrig-113885.htm

http://www.racinglab.com/polblhybrevl.html

That should give you a few choices.

a few guys with clear tails told me that they had to go with amber because the red looks pinkish when on, beacuse it does not have the red reflector to induce the red color.

I would keep it red to match your rear side marker

I'd prefer amber. Safer/easier to see when the tail lights or brake lights are on, imho.

thanks for the opinion, Bearcat!

I always liked amber in general as well.

Plus, if the red does look pinkish, i rather go with amber anyway

^^ They look good. Which leds did you get and how bright are they at night compared to your brake lights.

I got them off ebay cant remember the brand but they are only 9 leds, at nite they are bright, but during the day I've been told that you cant really see when they are blinking so I'm thinking of going back to regular red bulbs non-led

I was looking at 27 led bulbs or 48. Wondering how they look though before I drop 30 bucks on bulbs and 10 bucks on resistors and waste my time haha.
