Replacing Deck Lid On An '07 Type S

I need to replace the deck lid on a 2007 acura tl type s. i called a couple of junk yards for a used deck lid, but they don't have any on stock.

My question is if there is any difference other then "Tag bezel and Deck Lid Lip Molding, between the base model tl and the Type S???

Thanks in advance!!!

Never heard of the "tag bezel".
I'm assuming it's not a decklid spoiler, though.

The decklid on the Type-S is different than the Base I can tell ya that.

No, the tag bezel is actually the center molding "where the license is located"

if is different, would you know what the difference is ?

The rear license plate assembly is pretty identical (not sure if there's a slot for the backup cam on the base though), but the only difference is on the Type-S, there's a chrome trim bar instead of a satin silver bar.

You're right. i called the dealer and there is also a difference in the wiring of the deck lid since the base doesn't come equipped with nav/rear cam.

but switching all wires wont really be a problem ... im only concern if the deck lid it self was different. but i think it might be the same.

I believe that the deck lid on the Type S is different compared to base models.

Damnit.

This whole time I thought you were talking about the decklid spoiler, but now I see you're talking about the trunk lid .
The trunk lid itself should be the same, so just swap things over.

It's not like when you see a base TL's trunk you say "damn that base TL's trunk is much more curvy around the corner!".

I would have to compare my co-worker's base tl with my type s to see if there is any difference between them.

Type S deck lid cost me 550 from the dealer ship and that is just the metal shell!!!

As posted above, you won't be able to really tell a difference in the structure.

I'm sorry if i wasn't clear enough!!! lol

yes i was talking about the deck lid it self !

Oh i know that the structure should be the same. i am mainly concern in the wiring because i would be needing everything on the deck lid due to the damage on mine.

WOW!

Glad you're okay!

Someone rear end you bad eh?

Looks like your Type-S deck lid spoiler is okay still.
