The 07 TL-S I bought 2 weeks ago came w/ limo tint in the back windows and I wanted to replace it - 30% on all windows except the windshield. I've been going to this tint shop for the last 10 years (3 cars). I know him and he is pretty good.

When hes removing the tint he calls me and tells me on the driver's side backseat small window, looks like the rubber trim around the window has had "chunks" cut off. He thinks when the limo tint installer installed the tint, he/she cut the rubber by accident when trying to push it under the rubber piece. The limo tint was so dark it covered it up from the outside.

My installer said its only on the inside and no water leaks will happen. He said the new 30% tint may cover it up, but I'm OCD about this kind of stuff. I know the dealership can replace it, but
- do you know what this piece is called?
- do you think it will be expensive?

Since the window is getting re-tinted, when I get the window seal repaired do you think the dealer will mess up the new tint?
