Relocated License Plates

For those living in states that require front plates, have you relocated them?
If so, show pics and equipment used.

^ at least now I understand how some of you get your post count that high, with useless posts (yes, just like this one )

I don't think it is legal for us to move the front plate. Has anyone in NYC successfully (no tickets) have done so?

Its in a storage chest in my trunk. I bought a plate holder off ebay and intentionally broke it and put the plate on it. If a cop pulls me over for it I'm just gonna show him the broken holder and explain that it will not stay on since someone backed into me and I'm waiting on a new holder in the mail. Its worked once already.....................I know I'm bad

i've seen a tl relocate the plate to the inside of the lower left grille. youd just take off your bumper and put it inside iguess

^ That's cool.....but you still get pulled over...which usually means more tickets added on like tints....

I think having the front plate on my WPD TLS makes my car looks like crap.

I removed my front plate the night i bought the car. I used to keep it under my rear floor mat and put it on the dash when i parked in the city. I have never gotten pulled over, however i have had 2 parking tickets for "improper display" while on the dash ($50 each). Now i store it in my trunk and never bother putting it up. I think "improper display" draws more attention than not having one at all. F^ckin meter-maids.

I saw someone the other day mount his license on the passenger sunvisor. Thought that was a pretty clever and discrete way of relocating his ft plates.

lembowski's way is the best .... but I beg to diff about Cali cops ... they stopped me first time & let me go with a warning ... then i got stopped again, by a young female officer no less, and she gave me a fix-it on the spot ....

I have the old school ricer look going on...its on my passengers side sun visor. Its normally up so you cant see it, but if i see a cop it gets flipped down. It doesnt have to be displayed on the front of the car, but only visible from the front of the car (atleast thats what i was told by the cop that last pulled me over)

In Ohio, front plate is required. And ontop of that, you can't have anything in front of it. So stick it in the windshield, wrong, put a license plate cover over it (clear or not), wrong.

It can however be relocated to pretty much anywhere on the front of the car as long as it is visible.

I think low left looks good

Ill be sure to post pics, and im not too worried about drilling holes because you will never see them in the top portion of the lower grill.

Yet I have never got a ticket and I drive through some of the most nitpicky LEO's in the NEO. Bottom line - they don't care unless you do something to make them care.

I have not had a front plate on any of my cars since I've started driving at 16. Never had an issue.

I would assume a cop would look at a TL and say a teg/lude/civic a little differently. I got a ticket for failure to display for the front plate in my prelude not 6 months ago...

One thing is, the TLs came from the factory with no holes at all up front right?

Yes, excellent thinking considering you don't travel on the same road everyday...

Is anyone in NYC who is running without a front plate or have relocated a plate?

(NYC cops don't care what your excuse is... you are getting a ticket...and most likely will have to bring proof to court of plate installation)

Well I got my acura logo painted so it matches the color of the front grill it looks OEM, and that's one of the reasons I probably have not been pulled over.

Been running without plates for almost a year ( 9 mos. 15,000mi. of driving) and no issues, I've been in a few areas of CT and NY, and no problems.

You have CT plates..... that maybe the reason why they don't bother you.

Can you take a pic of that you've done please? thank you.

I think the plate really ruins the car

I'm thinking about relocating my front license plate on also. Is there a way to use zip ties? I don't want to drill holes in my car. I saw something on the TSX forum, but their pics were old and did not come up.

i got pulled over once for not having it on and i told them i just washed the car and forgot to put it back on. well it was true and im guessing if your car isnt shiny when the cop pulls you over you'd be out of luck on that one lol. and dont you think it's f**ked up how cops choose who to pull over for it. i never see a single corvette or ferrari or lambo get pulled over for not having front plates.... douchebags.
