Anyone tried this Red Line Oil Change before? How does this red Line compare to Mobil 1?

Redline is the only oil That I use, 5W-20 with a Mobile1 M1-105 oil filter. I`ve never used Mobile 1 oil before. But the car has fast starts and seem to run cooler.

I've used Red Line oil on my past two TL's, and I like it quite a lot. Since I didn't keep the last car long enough, I guess I'd say that the second owner will be the one to benefit from my using the oil. Unless you plan to keep your car for 10 years or longer, and put well over 100,000 miles on the vehicle, it's probably a waste of money. But I like the way the engine runs with Redline oil so I guess I'll keep using it. It really is good oil...and from what I've heard much better than Mobil 1.

Since the previous two cars I have had for 3 years or less, what is the difference you notice? I will have the TL for a while.

I think that the engine just idled smoother...it's hard to say exactly in concrete terms exactly what the RedLine oil did that the mineral oil didn't do, but there is a certain smoothness and "feel" to the engine that I liked better. And as I said, since I only kept my last Acura for 2 years, it's the new owner that will benefit from any added life from the engine using RedLine oil. I just like the way the engine feels with synthetic much better...as for the cost....that's up to you.

Redline snythetic oil has been around for years in the racing community. They had a full selection of oil viscosities and applications before Mobil 1 did (in my area anyway). The main difference is probably Mobil's availability and marketing power. I have used both with good results.
