How much can one expect to pay for installation for a rear wing spoiler or for that matter a lip spoiler...thanks

I know of several people here on this forum who bought the lip spoiler and installed it on their own...supposedly it isn't that difficult of a task. In fact, a few of the websites selling the accessories have PDF files which have the installation instructions on them too.

As for the price of installation, sorry, can't help you...but this should bump this up to the front and maybe someone else will chime in.

The lip spoiler would definately be an easy self install assuming you have a drill and a bit that will cleanly tear though your trunk lid. I had a place do it for $40 because it took only about 15 minutes of their time. I watched every moment of the install and they did a great job.

I had a wing spoiler installed on my wife's TL. I went to two dealers. One wanted 800, the other wanted 600. The price included the parts and labor (spoiler is prepainted). They said they needed to change out the springs in the trunk, to accomodate the extra weight of the spoiler, to maintain "springyness", or something like that. The dealer I went throught offered at cost for the spoiler, and I just paid for the labor, so it came out to less than $500. The spoiler itself is $279 if I remember correctly.

So those "springs" your talkin about, are they heavier then other ones , if they are, then dont put'em, cuz it'll make difference when you race with G-35
