Rear Windown Tint - Light Defraction

I have 35% Pinnacle Ceramic tint on my rear window (installed a couple weeks ago). I noticed through the rear view mirror that the headlights had a weird diffraction on the defroster lines. The headlights reflect off of each wire, so you see a vertical flare for each headlight.

Anyone else have this problem? Is it normal?

It's standard equipment for tinted rear windows.

I first noticed it when I got my first car with heated rear windows, 96 3.2TL, and it has carried over to my 3G.

It may not be normal, but I think everyone has it.

I've noticed the same effect with all of the cars that I've had tinted, so don't worry about it. As long as it looks good from the outside looking in, then you're fine

It gets better as the tint cures, but you'll always have it to some extent.

Besides, you won't even notice it after a few drinks ...

j/k
