Rear View Visibilty/Precison Performance Module

Owned my 2005 TL for two weeks now and am happy. But I feel the rear view vison is not good and a little disconcerting. No reviews I read mentioned this and I wonder if others feel similarly and what steps they took to increase their comfort level? An extra little round mirror on the existing driver's side view mirror? Also talk to me about Precision Performance Modules that purportely can increase my HP by 15 to 22. Is this a good idea? Thanks. John

I stuck one of those small round mirrors on the driver's side mirror on day three after almost wiping out several cars trying to change lanes on the freeway in Dallas. The side mirrors are way too small for the car.

You could get Multivex mirrors for your side mirrors. I had used the little round mirrors, which worked great. Then I replaced them with the Multivex mirrors and the car looks a lot nicer because you can't really tell that you've attached anything to the mirrors, unlike the little round ones. It took a while to get used to these Multivex mirrors but once I got used to them I can't live without them. They are expensive but well worth it.

i dunno what it is about the rear views mirrors on this car but there is a huge blind spot. those tiny little mirrors that stick on look tacky. but if you can replace the mirrors with multivex mirrors that are tinted and retain the heated mirror feature it would be good.

you get used to it after a little while...you will learn where you can see and when you need to look over the shoulder...hell...you should be passing people left and right so just judge when to pull in front of em!

On my 2G, I had a Carmate clip-on wide angle mirror on the inside and it helped a lot. The down side is you'll loose the auto dimming feature.
