Rear Sunshade?

Anyone know if the 04 has a rear sunshade?

If not, there sure won't be any Inspire one available for this guy.

I sort of hope it doesn't so I can say I have something that you can't get on the new one

No one seems to know.

To keep up with a three year old Infiniti I-30, it better.

No sunshade in the TL. This may have to due with the fact that the Nav antenna is on the rear shelf (the owners manual says that some window tints will effect it, I would assume the metalized ones).

I have ordered a SSM with Ebony / Nav / Body Kit and I was planning on getting 35% tints on the rear 5 windows (4 doors and rear windshield)....and now you are saying that tints will affect the navigation....can you please tell me what type of tints i should get that would not affect the navigation....if anyone knows this, please post a reply...thanks...

I have 35% on my windows, with Nav, all is ok, but the manual says some tints may effect it. The one I got did not have the metal particles in it (Lumiar has one that does, and others that do not).

As long as you stay away from the ones with metal in it (some are particles in the tint for greater heat rejection), you will be ok.

I would ask the tint dealer for info as to what does and does not have metal in it.

Arrgg... I was going to get metalized because of the heat rejection. I picked up my black/ebony w/ navi this past Saturday. From what little I know about tinting, you can get metal and dye tints. I take it we're supposed to use dye? Well, at least it's cheaper.... heh.

Window Tint

There is a window tint that blocks more IR heat than metalic films. Huper Optik. It more expensive but made of ceramics and won't interfere with NAVI. I just put on my new TL.

Huper Optik

$359. Being that I live in TX, I can already tell the difference between this tint and the LLumar Plat Plus I had on my '02 TL-S. I feels it worth the extra money. I put Ceramic 30 on all windows (of course excluding the windshield)

ClearBra???

Why buy the clearbra when a $8 bottle of touch up paint will do just fine.

You will love the Huper down in Texas. I just had it put on my windshield & sunroof only. I have Llumar 20% metal on all my other windows. That was a great price too. Mine was $210 for what I had done.

Hey brandomc, I live in the Dallas area, too. I was looking at Llumar or Huper Optiks as well. Where did you get yours done? Was it Artech? I know they use Madico and Huper. I had Madico on my Maxima and after 7 years they still looked good.

Rocketsfan. I got my tint done at Pro Tint at Preson and Campbell. I have had 3 cars done there with no complaints. On my '02 TL-S (White), I had LLumar Plat Plus and was very satisfied. Being that I got SSM, I thought Plat Plus would be too much silver. Therefore I went with Huper O. The heat rejection was much better the LLumar Centuar. Whatever film you go with, you can go wrong with either Huper or LLumar.
