Rear Roof Spoilers Part 2.

I was looking around after measuring the distance for the roof wing and Came across the idea that E39 Bmw's (5-Series) are 45" long and they got some nice looking spoilers. Let me know what you guys think.

Click here to see Ebay auction. This is one of the couple they have to offer 45" long

I wonder if the curvature of the spoiler will fit? Or is it a flexible spoiler where you can flex it a bit.

I think it would look hot as long as the spoiler is small, and doesn't overtake the back window...The BMW's look hot with it...

already looked at that. couple things to mention.....

the 45 inches is at the very top of the window. if those measurement are correct, then this will be short on the top since the 45 is pretty much at its widest part. know what i mean?

second, that looks pretty thick and might start to cover up your high brake light.

third, the shape might be close enough that it woul fit, but it does not seem very pliable cause its pretty thick

oh ya, and its 100 bucks too

if you get it done and get it on the car, please PM me with pics, i would be very interested to see how it turns out

OP, this is what i put on mine

1 suggestion, becareful with the ebay spoiler auctions for these lip spoilers. My friend purchased one, it was like 30 bucks and it turned out to be made out of like a rubber composite, and when he took it to get painted they said if they paint it and you bend it the paint will chip off and crack...basically its garbage. Make sure the one you purchase is plastic and stiff!

If it's plastic and stiff, it won't accommodate the contour of the window.

It could've been molded to fit the contour, because the one my friend got is garbage because once its painted and u bend it to fit the window, its gonna crack and chip ;/

i have a lip spoiler that i bought from eBay. It's rubber or plastic & bends a lot with no change in the paint finish. i can bend it end to end. It must have flex additive like the bumpers. i think it costs more than the paint.
ps. in the winter it was stiff, & it only flexes when it's warm

it isnt garbage, the place that your friend went to take it to get painted is garbage. maybe you should tell your friend to spend a bit more money and go to a pro who knows what flex paint is.

and ya, you cant bend it a lot. thats why you need to get it painted in the shape it needs to go on the car and put it on as soon as its done. try not to bend it
