Rear 1/4 Panel Windows - Tinting Question

Hi Guys,

Name is Brad and I'm new to the forum. I have an Blk/Blk '07 TL Type S. Love the whip! I recently had my windows tinted and as many of you many know about the rubber situation involving the 1/4 panel windows in the rear. Could someone please advise me how to remove the rubber so I can have the tint shop fix this problem, I had my windows tinted at Atlantic Shoreline in VA BEACH, VA however since I currently live in NJ I'm just going to have a local shop do it.

If someone could walk me through the process of removing the rear window moldings etc I would appreciate.

Thanks

The shop should be able to push the tint under the rubber - that is what I was told by the guy who did my tint.

The proper way to do the job is to cut the tint long and then place on glass and float it down into place

Can you show a few more pics on DIY for the rear 1/4 windows? or maybe a further description. I'm going to take them out myself and have the shop retint them.

Evader... There is no need to remove the 1/4 glass to have the look that you are looking for, iI have tinted many of these cars and never had a problem. Do you know which line of film they installed on your car? I use the ATR 05 CH line

They used Llumar, I have the invoice at home and it has the complete details. I'll let you know what it says tonight. I assume you have a tint shop? Where are you located?
