Rattle fixed by Dealer

I took my 04 TL to Cerritos Acura, in Southern California, for the first regular service (A1). I complained about a serious rattle that I thought was coming from the right rear deck lid around the speakers. When I played the stereo with a moderate heavy base line, I would get a rattle. When I would drive across intersections with a brick or cobble stone cross walk, I would get the same rattle with or without the stereo on. The main drive at Cerritos auto center is a great place to drive on cobble stone cross walks. The service technitian told me that Acura now has a CD with different tones on it. They can play the CD and the tones will identify the rattles. They were successful in identifying mine which were two plastic clips associated with the upper third brakelight component. They added felt pads to the clips and I have been very satisfied ever since. I drove home from work tonight with the stereo at a volume of 16 or so and no rattles what so ever. I am very pleased. Hope this helps someone with the same rattle noise.

We should get a copy of this CD and figure out the rattles ourselves before going into the dealership. "Sir, it happens when I play a 34hz tone!"
