quickie with a skunk2 civic vs 04 TL...
i was driving home from OKC to Tulsa yesterday on I-44 doing 90-100mph, trying to make up for lost time...i was cruising along making great time till i hit a cluster fuck of slow drivers taking up both the left and right lanes...eventually i made my way through the cars and only had one left in front of me before i was on my way again...it was a black civic (late 90's model) with a skunk2 racking sticker in it's back window...he was doing 70mph in the left lane with no one next to him in the right lane...i knew he was messing with me, but gave him a second to move over before i was gonna blow by him...sure enough, he just kept going along at 70 in the left lane, so dropped down to 3rd and switched lanes....the instant he saw me move over, he floored it, which was obvious by the typical high-pitched rice exhaust sound his car made...well i hit it and not five seconds later, the race was over...i blew right by his ass thru 3rd and slowly lost him farther and farther in 4th...he gave up really quick either because he was gonna pull a Paul Walker and ruin his car from excessive force/power or he just realized there was no chance in hell he was gonna catch me...
i had the TL up to 115mph by the time he backed down and it was still pulling for more speed...that's the fastest i've had our car and it handled amazingly with no vibration...

Well that turnout was obviously expected racing a civic. I guess he didnt have any major mods done to the car seeing as you beat him so bad.
I raced a turbo civic once though. I beat him but not badly, he was able to hold his ground surely enough.

yeah i didn't expect it to be anything close before i even switched lanes...i just think it's funny when these 'street racers' advertise their shit and then can't hold their own...decals don't add HP...

becareful guys, some hatches are the real deal. turbos are not so bad but b16 0r b18s are bad. especially with the skunk 2 cams, headers, etc. my little bro's hatch can be shifted a 12000 rpms can be shifted at higher rpm when really want to push it. i remember when he had just put a stage 4 cutch in i went into town and a 240 sylvia pulled up besideme. i was in the turning lane to turn left when i notice the driver flaging me over. so i pull up beside him. he just flat our asked me if i wanted t race so i said yeh. when thelite turn green i could barely him spooling over the sound of our exhaust. over all it really did'nt matter . i walked his ass and when i passes him i saw his jaw drop. windows were down half way from talking to him. i had himby 4 carlenghts at 90mph and shut it down . i pulled into a theater thinking he wanted to talk. he pulled to the lite and busted a u turn. guess he was embarrased. story is watch out some are the real deal
