Okay... but I'd rather believe real life people who I know have had experience with these tunes. If procede is really no better, yet cost $500 more how would they still be in business? Marketing only goes so far.
It is not the only active forum. Try N54tech, bimmerboost, etc. And yes procede is better than JB3, but JB4? No. As for the problems look at all the timing logs, problems shifting with autos, and misfires. Also, procede is not $500 more, its around $200 more unless you get the professional version. He is ripping off everyone making people pay for maps. There are just as many Jb4 users as procede users, you just see more procede threads. If you look at said procede threads most the time they are posting because of a problem. Both Jb4 and procede are fine but it would not be worth the money to trade.
I suggest getting the JB4 upgrade, if you still think JB4 is all or nothing power look at the torque curve and logs.

Yes sir . I will eventually do cosmetic modifications but I havent gotten there yet. There are a lot of great things to do with our cars, I am sure you will be happy with whatever you choose. And because I just enjoy talking about cars in general and I have a family member with a TL.

X2... my father purchased an Acura Legend back in 1994 and drove it until last year when he traded it in for a 2010 MDX fully loaded... that thing is pimp!

Thanks man. I know I will have a huge increase in power along with a better timing curve and tq curve, due to the hundreds of dynos posted pre and post meth.

Maybe I can get a few guys to meet up while your down here. You may not have time for that, you tell me. There would be more 335i's there that have closer power levels to you than I. I want to see that CTS-V!

I think a full bolt on 6MT TL would slightly pull a stock 335i at higher speeds. Not walk lol I can't see a TL pulling away bus lengths

A full bolt on 6mt TL would pull on a stock 335i. Add a tune to the 335i and its game over, even a supercharged TL could barely keep up at that point.

I will be releasing a video soon:
335i vs. TL

335i mods:
Tune, intake, oil catch can, intercooler, catless downpipes, chargepipe, blow off valve, meth 70/30 mix.

TL mods:
Coolant bypass, weight reduction, CDV mod, RV6 PCD.

im working on it

just got the car, and we're going on a cruise next week... so funds are tied up in that.

but it should be fully bolted by end of summer/fall
for now, the 6spd will have to make due stock.

Like I said, I've had a couple runs with some 335s, both auto and extremely close. But what I can't seem to come to grips with, is that the speedo video I saw of a stock 335i 6 speed on youtube was FAST. I mean, way beyond any bolt on 6MT TL I've seen thus far, and way beyond my car. Their gears are very long because they have all the torque to pull through them. So, in a 60 roll per se, the 335i is still pulling hard in 3rd up to ~110, while the TL has to shift to 4th at ~90. There is no way the TL will still be next to the 335i after 3rd gear in 6MT form.

While I've been right next to 335s, I can't see how based on the speedo vid I saw. Some trap as high as 105 stock. Maybe the 6MT has mad RSX VTAK 3rd gear power? Idk.

Stock 60-130 is 17.2 for a 335i.
Like I said, the 335i is great because of its ability to be modified with little money. $5k and your going 60-130 in 9 seconds or less. A stock 6MT Gallardo does 9.92, for comparison.

By the way, his car is much faster now.

we did a fourth gear pull on the highway, we each had 4 passengers in the car, because he just picked up his car so i went down with my gf and 2 of my cousins and he had my mom dad and ex wife in the car. and i pulled in 4th an shut it down at around 190km dont know how it would be from a 2nd r 3rd gear roll but i think it was a pretty good race, btw i think the acur has a way nicer interior then the bmw. Its so plain but w.e it was a nice car!

This is in reference to the 335i 6MT? If so, umm....was he racing? Aren't you stock? He should've pulled you by your hair and ripped out the roots from those speeds. Their 3rd gear goes to 110, where ours end at ~90. I could see it being close from a 65-90 roll, but after that he should've put an immediate 2-3 cars on you.

Racing with parents, ex wives, girlfriends etc in the cars is weak.

And was there a dead moose strapped to the roof of the 335?

I reiterate a post I made here not too long ago: this section of AZ is becoming more and more hilarious by the day. Although somewhat more believable than the "I beat an RS4" story, let's be real here - given an adequate driver, a 335 will always destroy a TL, period. AT or MT.

C&D 335
Zero to 60 mph: 4.8 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 11.8 sec
Street start, 5-60 mph: 5.6 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 13.5 sec @ 106 mph

C&D TL (2004 comparo)
Zero to 60 mph: 5.8 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 14.9
Street start, 5-60 mph: 6.5 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 14.5 @ 99 mph

Zero to 100 mph: 11.8 sec

Standing ¼-mile: 13.5 sec @ 106 mph
so 100-106 takes roughly 2 seconds

100-106 in 1.7 seconds is about right. It takes 14.3 seconds to accelerate from 100-140, which is significantly longer than the 11.8 second 0-100.

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...t/specs_page_2

And I'm still willing to bet a paycheck that all the 335's that were handed over to the magazine testers back in late '06 were running a couple extra pounds of boost. They're usually a 103-104 mph car.

first post in a while. i had an 04 6MT back in the day.. great car. i miss it the most. i then bought an s2000 then last year an rspec 2.0 genesis n now...well i just picked up an auto 335i.

i know how strong the the 6MT is in 3rd and 4th gear but, i think stock for stock the 335i takes it anywhere in the rpm.

fully bolted 6MT TL vs tuned 335i is no competition...trust me i know i destroyed one a couple weeks back. he was stick causr i saw the calipers and he was rocking on me at the light. lol. he kept up in first pretty well cause i had no traction. lol. im running a JB4. after second gear hooked it was game over. i just bought some 19x10 for the rears and its helpped a lot.

the TL is great but just not as strong.

the 335i is great.

since purchased 2 months ago ive added a JB4, wheels and muffler delete. let me know if you guys would liek to see some pics id love to share as im still super excited about my car

i believe a good driver in a 6mt can keep up if not beat an average driver in a 6mt 335i. not an auto tho... just gotta punch the gas and those tiny turbos intant spool. tinyest turbos ive ever seen in my life. i can wrap my whole hand around it. prob round the size of a golf ball. hahahaaaaa

Quick Reply: quick question. 6 speed BMW 335i 4 door VS. 04 TL 6 speed
