I've got a 2G TLS and thinking of moving up to a 3G TL. I've noticed some seem to have foglights in seperate housings below the bumper, while others appear to have no foglights.

Do all 3G TLs have foglights?
On some years, are the fogs intergrated in the main headlight housing?
Are they all Projector type fogs?

and.....are the manual transmissions OK on 2006 models?

All 3rd G TLs have fogs, early ones, 04-06 I believe have them next to the headlights, 07-08 have them in the bumpers...honestly the lower the fogs the better they work, in fog that is.

 

None of them have projectors, only the HID's do.

 

So the low beams are HID projectors and the fogs and high beams are halogens?

 

The low/high beam are hid bi xenon. The high beam uses the same projector as the low beam, there's a mechanical shield in there that switch them back and forth.

Thank God, I'd be pissed if this car had halogen high beams. Wouldn't make any sense at all.

 

the manual trannys are fine, just can be tough to get into 3rd at times from what ive read.
