Question on VIN numbers ....
I have an Anthracite/Ebony 5AT with Navigation System
ordered and havebeen provided with a VIN number.
I see numerous posts about the VIN number as related
to a number in the production run, primarily to determine
if any problems are being identified within a particular
series.
What digits in the VIN should I be looking at to determine
what part of the production run my car is included in, and
whether or not I should be concerned ?
Sorry about the question - just wanted to get some guidance/clarification - thanks.

Last five digits. Historically, the units that had fit and finish difficulties have been the earliest. It's been estimated at 1500 and before, but is probably only the first few hundred. I don't think you have much to worry about, just enjoy the car when you get it.

Thanks - I am looking forward to taking delivery. Looks like he VIN is in the 9000 range, and I expect to have the car in about
8 - 10 days.
As I indicated, the TL is Anthracite with Ebony interior - I, admittedly, am one of the owners that is gonna' take a chance on the wing-spoiler. I will post pics as soon as possible so that anyone else considering the wing-spoiler can check the appearance. Hopefully, that will either confirm someone's decision or prevent someone from making a mistake.
Anyway, thanks for the response.
