The metallic strip attached to the front of the hood is a bit dinged up from rocks on the road. Can that piece be replaced or is that permanently attached to the hood? Lifting up the hood, I wasnt able to find any bolts that attached the piece to the hood. Any ideas?

There's a couple rubber stoppers underneath the trim. Pull those out and you'll see the nuts holding the trim there. You can buy the trim from acuraoemparts.com it's a simple swap.

Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone know if the Type-S grille (chrome) is interchangable with the base model?

I know for sure that the 07-08 grill and type-s grill are interchangeable 100%.
