Question about Cabin Air Filter

For you guys who switched to the ATI carbon filter, how long does the carbon last? It's only a small quantity of activated charcoal in the filter medium, so I'm curious about how long it's supposed to last.

I'm about to install my second filter in 3 years. The first one was done when the car was about 1 year old, and the odor absorbing quality of the ATI filter seemed to only last a few months. Anyone else have better luck? If they were easier to install, I'd probably replace the filter every 3 months like I do with my kitchen water filters.

it's so simple to install... I do it in like 5 minutes...

I change mine every 2 to 4 months... 'cause I live in NYC... and I'm always near or around construction projects...

There's a thread that shows a simple way to modify the cover behind glovebox... so that you'll be able change the filter in less than 2 minutes...

Good LUck...

I've got the mod to the glove box...done today! Still don't know how long the carbon filter media is going to last. I'm not concerned with particulate or dust...just the odor absorbing quality of the filter. Anyone know how long the carbon lasts?
