Question about Alternator

So recently my alternator failed and I replaced it with a Ultima 130A one from Orielly's and it worked for a few days I got a replacement and it did nothing. Took it to get it checked and it failed. I checked all my fuses and all are good. I had read somewhere that this vehicle does not do good with aftermarket alternators and not sure if that is legit. I will be returning the alternator but I do not want to purchase a new one again only to have it fail. I guess my biggest question is has anyone else had a problem with alternators that are not original?

Saw this too late. Ordered on off evil bay. Hopefully it works and its not something my car is doing to fry them. I don't see how that can happen. So anyone know if there is any truth about aftermarket ones not working?

Nope.
Had Chinese replacement when bought the car. It failed after few years. Now I have another aftermarket one and it works fine for 2, maybe 3 years now.

Well that makes me wonder if something is killing the alternators now. Just have no clue what that could be. Granted both the replacements were good to start since they were both rebuilt. But the odds of two being bad is not good. I hate to think something is killing them when I start the car and if so what could it be.

Have you tried another brand replacement/ rebuild?
