I just ordered and received the 04-05 all season floor mats ($102 with shipping off of Ebay from an Acura Dealership). When I opened up the package I found it strange that only two of the floor mats had holes in them to keep them in place. When I went out to my car to check this, sure enough only the driver's and the back spot behind the front passenger have hooks coming up from the ground to keep the corresponding mats in place. Could someone explain to me why this is?

The driver's side prevents the mat from slipping and getting all bunched up in the clutch/brake/gas pedal area. The right rear passenger prevents that mat from going underneath the front passenger's seat. Evidently, there's all type of electronics, most importantly (for the 05'ers) is the weight sensor for the passenger side airbag.
