I wouldn't pay more than about $75 shipped for these things. Anything more than that is not worth it IMHO.

Eagerly awaiting price and pics of them mounted on the car......

Just wanted to give this thread a bump, because I know Mike (aznbo187) is going to come through with this project.

I am interested as well aznbo187, pending price and test install pics. The tips themselves look great, esp. if they stagger the way you shot them.

a good set of tips will set you back quite a bit. List price on a lot of the tips magnaflow makes are between 50 and 100. I've seen them get as high as 150

Tips are not that much. You can do a search on the internet by maganaflow. And most of them are under 40 each.

Good tips will definitely set you back up to $150 a side!! you guys needs to appreciate workmanship and quality of the tip... most of the < $30 tips you find at Pepboys will rust within a few months and or the bolt on component will quickly corrode... if these tips are legitimate build quality, they'll be worth $75 a piece ... however .. we'll all patiently wait to see what these things look like

Cautiously optimistic.

Maybe they are worth a crippling amount but with 150$ I would rather invest into something else, did anyone try to deal with the 07-S exhaust fitment on an 04-06?

I have been following this thread just for fun, I am not planning on replacing my tips. But you people that think you will be able to get a set of these for the $40 price point that you are hoping for are literally insulting this persons work.

If you had any idea what kind of skill working with this material requires and the amount of hand work that is required for each one of these in order to pull of the fit, finish and overall quality that you will demand you would not be making these kinds of comments.

Do you want a mass market product, or a one off custom piece? There is a reason why you do not get a custom piece at a mass market price. These craftsmen make their living with these skills do not insult them.

I dont think anyone meant to deliberately, or even at all, insult aznbo... The point theyre trying to make is 300 dollars for a set of exhaust tips is a hefty fee. With that 300 dollars you can achieve performance and not purely cosmetic upgrades. Im sure he has a lot of skill, intiative and dedication. The forum members are just expressing their feelings as to where they want to put their money and how much of it they are willing to spend.

I went to the dealer last week for an oil change. While I was there, I checked out the TL-S and talked to one of the sales reps. He said the TL-S tips will not fit an '06. I didn't measure the widths of the tails but they did look a bit wide to fit an '06 OEM rear.

The opening on the 07TLs is MUCH WIDER then the 06. The 07TLS tip will not fit in the 06 bumper for sure.

Hmmm not really 100% sure they will fit or not. They grey insert can be removed and that might allow them to fit. A-Spec probably not.

does ebay has the the kind of aftermarket mufflelers that look like the TL-s ones but smaller so that they can fit the bumper really good? I did some research but no luck.

Please stick to the topic of this thread.

I will be getting the new sample in any day now hopefully if everything fits, I will be able to get these started! I also don't want to make any empty promises handed but just to clear up some confusion these will not be near the cost of 200$-300$ for tips, but neither will they be some $20 pep boys tips. That is the only number I can get so far without blurting out random numbers.

These are custom made tips with the fit of the TL stock muffler in mind, and also taking into consideration the least modification possible for the end-user.

Stay tuned.

2G TL's don't have the same bumper cut out for the exhaust tips so I don't see why it wouldn't work.

sorry i didnt even realize it was a 3G thread, i was doing a general thread search. but yea the 2G tls dont have an exhaust cutt out like the 3G does. i was really wondering about the pipe size and fit if they are the same? ive been wanting quad pipes on my TL but havent seen any that look quite this good. soo hey if they do fit then put me down for a set too.

I can't see why they wouldn't fit a 2G unless you have the factory or WW lip kit with the cut out for a single round on each side.

Otherwise, you should be OK.

i won a 06 TL with the a-spec kit i would def. get the quad tip exhuast if it looks nice, please try to post a picture. Thanks - Mike
