Prospective 3G TL Owner...
Hey, guys. I've been scouring this forum for a while now and have finally decided to take the jump and buy a TL. What are some things I should look out for in terms of wear and maintenance on an 04-08 TL with 60-100K on the clock?
Probably gonna go for a NBP 06 5AT with 71K and navi

I'll chime in. The only major thing is the 105K t-belt service, tensioner, plugs etc. 04-05 still had some tranny issues but not a common deal. 07-08 had some visual exterior updates. The 06 5AT w/71K and navi will definitely do. It's a Honda, not much to really do other than simple maintenance. Yes you can go to a Honda dealer too. I'd just do simple things like drain the tranny fluid and replace with fresh fluid, oil change, new tires IF needed, and probably drain the coolant if it hasn't been done, and you can also check the brakes if you want. Just simple stuff. Other than that you're good to go. I'm sure if i left anything out someone can add to it.

I've had my 06 since 2009 and it has been great on wear and maintenance. It currently has 52K and I've basically only put on a new set of tires.
The only issue I have is the HFL module has died on me. I plan on replacing this soon. A new module can be had for under $200 and it is an easy 10 minute DIY install.
Otherwise, it's the best car I have ever owned.

Just change the tranny fluid and you should be ok. Do the 3 by 3 method or drain and refill 3 times with a good synthetic and you'll be fine.
