Price for used TL

I am looking at getting my brother an 04' TL with navi < 50k miles. What sort of pricing should I be looking at? In recent months I have found KBB and such to be off in pricing, so anybody here who has purchased one recently, I would appreciate your input.

TIA

Kelly Blue Book on my 04' aspec/navi with 21000 is $33,790 for retail value.........so cTLgo's 28-29 is pretty believable.

i agree with you, that price is just insane. aren't some people getting brand new TLs with Nav for 33k after tax anyways? This just makes it harder for me to get a TL in a year but easier to justify getting an IS350 instead :p

I said nothing about believing it, this is what KBB is saying. Look for yourself. The dealership dropped the price to $27,500 for me after 3 days of negotiations. There starting price was $31,750......I bought it with 17k. And since I still see 2004 TL's go on ebay for $26-27, I believe that people are probably paying $28 at the dealership for an 04' with good miles.

I just went through this and here are REAL world results

Dealers are trying to "steal" 04's TL's and KBB is helping them in this effort (don't know if it's intentional or not) for around $22K when the "real world" values are more like $25K trade value (as accurately represented by Edmunds). You can buy a nice 30K mile '04 TL from an individual for as little as $24,500 WITHOUT NAVI or around $26K WITH NAVI. Cars nering their warranty (i.e. 48K miles) command the lower $21-$22K figure but reasonable mileage TL's are bringing $26 to private market and CPO's can be had for approximately $27,500 (as the prior poster illustrated). The ONLY way to "get one cheap" is to accept the higher mileage vehicles. Good luck.

I'll do ya better. I picked up my graphite 04 TL with navi, A-Spec kit and aftermarket 18" wheels for $24K with 27,000 miles on it. It was eBay for 6 hours when I saw it and hit the Buy-it-now button.

I was looking quite a bit (in NJ/NY). Prices for the 04 with navi, with mileage in the 20,000-30,000 range, were usually about $26K+ from private parties and $28K+ from dealers.

I'm selling my '04 TL with Nav. It only has 5726 miles on it. Nighthawk Black Pearl with Ebony interior. It's spends weekdays in the garage with a car cover, which comes with it. The car still smells and looks new.
I'll send you pictures.

Make me your best offer.

I got an excellent deal on my 2004 TL with navi. I paid $21,900 with 47,000 miles on it. I am in San Diego and bought it from a smaller car lot, not sure if that matters to you.

Nope. It was from a private individual in NY. I did a check on the VIN before buying to make sure I wasn't getting a flooder.

the resale values on the 04+ TL's are holding quite strong.. sucks for those in the market to buy one, but good for current owners.

I bought my 2004 TL with Navi and all options for $21000. It had 20,300 miles on it. This was in Portland.

It's hard to find a good deal on these cars. The dealers around here just don't want to budge much under 30. I got my 04 A-Spec w/ NAV for 27 on eBay. It's alot easier to find an AT car though. But still....the WHOLESALE on my car is still 26,000. I'd be surprised to get an 04 on for any less than that.

I live in Northern Virginia an was just at my dealer asking about trading in my 2005 TL Navi AT with 9000 miles on it. It has been kept in the garage at home and at work. The best they could come up with was 28,000. They had one on the lot...everything the same, a little more miles, 30,000. Doesn't sound like much more than what some 2004's are bringing. Hope this relates to this thread
