Power Steering Pump manufacturer
Most posts are on the o-ring fix, but I actually need an new unit.
Most searches come up with A1 Cardone power steering pump, can anyone tell me if this unit is OEM?
Thank you.

My mechanic recommends an OEM unit. Cardone is cheaper, but there is a price differenc for a reason.
Does anyone know the name of the manufacturet of the OEM part? I have searched forever and can't find a name. Thanks.

Not much on AutoZone for replacement parts, but the pump does come with a lifetime warranty. May not last a long time, but at least there is no charge for another unit.
Used (probably OEM) units available in Webster and Leominster, but they are as much as a remanufactured unit, but they have low mileage and come with the pulley which another pump, new or remanufactured doesn't, so it would be an easy swap.
4 used units available in Hyde Park, NY $65, so if you want used, have one shipped out.
Looks like new pumps are going to be from the dealer.

pretty rare for a p/s pump to go bad. what is your reasoning to think it has gone bad? If it is because of noise then the pump is not the problem. p/s pumps DO NOT make noise, the air bubbles inside the system and in the pump undergo cavitation as the pump tries to pressurize the air. i have been working on all makes of cars for many years and have only changed 1 honda pump and it was due to a leaking pulley seal.
if you do infact need a pump i would not hesitate to use the a-1 cardone reman unit, they offer a great warranty and i havnt seen many issues with them

Take the pass. side dust cover (bellows type) loose or poke a little hole in it & see if there's fluid in there, your steering rack may be where it's leaking, those pumps should last the life of the car in most cases.
