Pot Holes

i know i'm not alone here. a lot of us with substantially lowered TL's have to deal with pot holes on a daily basis...and it sucks. it's the only thing i hate about riding around so low. i don't mind being so low to the ground...i don't mind having a difficult time pulling into certain parking lots/inclines/declines...i don't mind speed bumps.

i hate pot holes.

i am very good at dodging them, and i rarely ever hit one. however, it is sometimes unavoidable on highways when you're traveling at high speeds. you can't necessarily swerve out of the way going 80mph.

this is my face when i see a pot hole coming up at the last second...

this is my face right before i hit the pot hole and i know i can't avoid it...

this is my face right after i hit the pot hole and it makes an earth shattering sound like my car is gonna fall apart at the seams.

/end rant.

yeah that is another thing, location. i'm sure plenty of places don't have rough roads like the mean streets of baltimore.

i hate it. i have to pick and choose my paths carefully.

Too bad you can't document spots on the Navi.

-Female voice- "Pot hole approaching, stay in the far right lane."

Boston? They fill the holes, next day they remove it.
Or it's just becomes a hole again lol not sure

Yes that fast...
Old city + more than 50% of the year bad weather. Salt kills the pavement anyways.

Biggest one I saw was in city, I swear it was like at least 10 inches depth. There was traffic, I dogged it but the stupid girl behind was blind I believe. I watched her from the mirror, I honestly saw her bouncing on the seat hahaha
then she is like looking around with a face saying what the f.ck just happend lol

Nothing Aaron, just popped up at an opportune time. Heard you got a text from Justin...if he told you why, you'll know why I'm chuckling!

I fkn curse like a madman when I slam into something...honestly, the roads are pretty good here...and I WANTED to keep the car at the lowest setting but that ONE time you DO end up hitting like a mild 1 inch indentation and you feel the car want to fall apart, you cringe and then FK IT...raise it back up a 1/2 inch. At least me, I did that.

Doesn't matter if you are lowered or not....potholes will tear up any car just about as bad.

I hit one on the 3rd day of owning the car. $600+ repair bill before I had even made my first payment.

Well considering you all drive TLs, it's more like sounds your cars will be making after you hit the pothole. Rattles FTL.

Pot holes really do suck balls. It's crazy how when you have a lowered car you know all the roads and what lanes to avoid.

I still remember the worst one I ever hit. I was in college and had an accord hammered on ground controls and bilstein's. This pot hole was so fucking big that when I hit it I thought a land mine went off under the car. I thought for sure the wheels were coming off.

If you get rim damage from a pothole, the city you live in should pay for repairs. I know they do here.

In Baltimore sometimes they do and sometimes they don't , i fought them for over a year for repairs to my maxima and they have denied the claim twice

Where I drive 95% of the time I know where every pot hole and low spots are. Its when I go out of town when that occasional HOLE gets me

this is the only thing that makes me nervous about riding around with stretched tires.....i hit a good size pothole on the highway when i had my WORK wheels on but with a proper sized tire on the rim it did not bend or crack...
i love the facial illustration because that to a T was me before

that looked like an open man hole in the video. HOLY CRAP!!!

the little holes in the MDX get absorbed pretty well, but in the TL...OMG. f-bombs, GD it's are going off in the car if i nail any pothole (thankfully i don't drive over them b/c i know where they are), but still it feels like the car is about to fall apart.

I had 4 tires popped last year because of potholes. 2 of my rims are slightly bent and all scratched up. Got the city to pay for one of them.

Preach on brotha.

When I had my CLs I took out 3 wheels in the shitty ass roads in Jersey. I pretty much had the same facial expressions.

Lowered or not, they suck. I cracked a wheel hitting one a while back. Pretty sure one of my other wheels is bent too. Lame.

Just hit one 3 weeks ago in a construction zone outside of Detroit. Choices were center barrier-semi to the right of me-pot hole? I took the pothole and a tear in my sidewall, second one in a year. Always fun changing a tire in a construction zone in 85 degree heat (the only day it was warm) in a suit. MI pays out under 10% of the total claims filed for damage due to road condition because of how the law is written. At least I have a comfy car that I enjoy driving and warranties on the tires!
