OP, your seats are fine.
But I do agree with you that Honda/Acura's leather isn't the finest...

what amuses me is that 70% is more than most "American" car brands (GM,Ford, etc). So in a sense my Acura is more American made than your GM. Not trying to start a huge argument here, and yes I own a GM product also.....

Oh wow, took me a min to find. Never got to see a window sticker for the TL. Thanks
That actually makes me happier that is was made mostly here.
BTW my comment was a joke that was taken too far. But I guess Turbo got his revenge from the picture game thread.

Probably Japan also. Anyway, this thread is getting derailed, sorry OP.
Then again idk if this thread was headed anywhere anyway

My driver seat looks rather used. The rest of the seats are fairly clean, and the car itself is in fairly good shape. The driver seat and center console lid are the most visually warn part of the car.
I picked up the car a week ago and didn't touch it yet. I'm probably going to clean the leather soon.

Find someone who does interiors, they can repair the leather if it's not too bad of condition, I'm sure they could re-stuff it too so it retains it's shape like it once was from factory.

My leather/seat is pretty worn up. When I first owned the car, I drove about 60k leaning towards the left of the seat so it ended up cracking and I never conditioned or cleaned it (my ignorance when I got the car), but it hasn't changed since then now that I apply my Optimum Leather Protectant once a week.

I've asked before and the price to repair leather would be almost the price to put in new leather.

The black definitely hides the cracking and dirt fairly well. Taupe is not that forgiving.
I never touched the leather on my 02 Accord in the 7 years I've owned the vehicle, and it looks fine. The drivers seat has a crack and a torn seam, but it looks all around better than my 07 TL seat.

^^^because Ebony tent to hide crack and wrinkle better than Taupe, Taupe already a light color and it doesn't help that when the surface start to wrinkle or crack it hold some amount of dirt which obviously standing out like a shore thump. Why not a close shot on your driver seat at the left bottom seat near the door panel to see how much wrinkle and crack right there. Acura/Honda some how making crappier leather seat compare to Lexus and BMW.
