Please help, regarding NOT ACTUAL MILEAGE TITLE

so i'm about to buy a acura TL tmr from a private owner, and i just check the vin on carfax just in case. I realized there is NAM on it!
when i looking at the details, the mileage was 127,835 in 03/03/2011, then in 05/07/2011, accident reported that it hit another car, after that, the mileage roll down to 51,320 in 05/21/2011. later months, it is NOT ACTUAL MILEAGE TITLE ISSUED

when i ask the selling, he claims that he "thinks" the previous owner might change the engine, so it got reset. but i know it's illegal to do that. Then he replied " that's why its reported NAM
the seller selling it for 10k, i really love this car, but it seems shit on carfax.. is it worthy to get this car?
i'm new to here, please help me

Pass. Sounds too fishy. You can easily find another one.

Keep searching for a car that you'll have confidence in buying! There's nothing worse than finding out something absolutely rotten by the time it's too late.

you know that the mileage is NOT with the engine, its with the instrument cluster only. you can do 10 engine swaps and the mileage will be the same unless you change the cluster.

pass.

there are many, many other TLs out there to "love" (esp if it's a 5AT :P).

#1 mistake of new/used car buyers is impulse buy. Have a friend, or us, tell you to pass on a bad deal.

2005

The 2005 TL received a passenger airbag cut-off switch and indicator and extra stitching on the front seats. There were several minor changes made (such as changes in seat belt anchor mounts) which are not published.

I've also noticed that the 2004 models have a slightly different Acura logo design than on 05+

Unless that's an 08 TL-S or something, pass.

It's only worth the risk if the 'payoff' is huge....

I dont think i have ever seen any TL-S going for 10k. Even 15k is extremely rare.

Seriously pass this... There is a better TL out there. Think about how hard it is going to be to sell this car once youre ready...

Run very fast. There is no way I would consider a car with that type of back ground.

That's my point - unless it's such an amazing deal you absolutely can't pass it up, look elsewhere.

What year are you interested in? With 13-14k, you should easily be able to find a 04-06 TL with close to 100k miles.
