One thing I've learned....

Everybody on the forums LIE alot about what they paid. If they say a number that isn't at least 2K below sticker, then people all start calling them "idiots" for paying so much.

If varries from city to city, and just because somebody may have bought one for 36,500 does NOT mean that you will. Supply and Demand.

Don't believe that majority are paying 36K or even 36,500... these cars are fresh, and they're not having a problem selling them.

I paid $1000 below sticker price, only because I wanted the blue one... and somebody else at that exact moment was trying to work up a deal on the same one, and I was leaving town. Even to get $1000 below sticker can be hard, if they only have a few on the lot. These things are selling!

I don't know man... I read through the forums and it sparked an interest in finding a TL-S for me. I said to myself, if I could get one around 36,600 and a decent price for my trade, I'd buy one. I had to drive a bit to find it, but I got the price I wanted. It isn't the best price on these forums, but good none the less.

If you put in the leg work and shop around and you're willing to drive 90 miles to save a few thousand, then you might be surprised. I also did not settle on a color or interior. I got exactly the car I wanted. If you think I'm lying, I can show you the bill of sale. I'd have no reason to lie about the price I paid AND be willing to prove it.

Some will have to pay sticker, some will pay $1000 less. Some areas won't budge on price and I realize that. But I can assure you it is possible to get one at the prices you've been seeing here on the forum. In fact, I got my ex girl friend the same deal at the same dealership. The guy is even going to send me a $100 referral check for bringing in another new car sale. So I know it wasn't a one-time deal. He was willing to sell a second one for the same price as I got mine.

Also, let me add that will little effort I was given $1000 off sticker through one single e-mail. It wasn't hard to get better than sticker. The second dealership I went to was about $1500 off sticker. Then I drove to CT to get the price I mentioned above.

You're just supporting what I said... it all depends on location, and availability...

I wasn't denying that, but you said:

And I'm telling you I'm not lying, nor am I calling anyone an idiot for paying above what I got (even mine wasn't the best deal out there). My point is, shop around...even look a little out of your normal area and you might find a really decent deal. $2200 was worth me driving 100 miles for a car sale....(and $2000 more for my trade compared to the local's price)
