Talking Pics of my Shredded trans mount.

https://acurazine.com/forums/picture...ictureid=37744

Im sittin at 120,000 on the factory mounts. They were pretty well shredded. Thought i had a side mount pic but cant find it.

Changing them wasnt all too bad, but i have to get a rear mount next and change it too, so i will see how that goes. Just figured this would give people some idea of how bad your mounts can get.

FYI....get them checked if you suspect they are bad. My car is so much smoother idling and just in general.

Your link isn't working. You changed out all three, correct?

cool glad ur car is idling better. what mileage do mounts usually wear out and are required to be changed? i feel like my car is idling a little worse then when new, so im suspecting the mounts but im only at 80k miles. i am thinking when i do my 105k i will get em changed or is that too long to wait?

Another pic of both front and side

Honestly i should have checked mine a long time ago. Its been giving me signs for a while now. I made myself check them this past Sunday. Some of the more technical guys can chime in on the best schedule for them.

My honest opinion is if you think they could be bad , get them checked soon. All i did was open my hood , pull e brake for safety . Then held the the brakes and revved it up slowly. It was more than obvious mine were bad when i saw how much my engine moved upward. You will definately know.....lol

Also mine gave no indicator of the fluid leak cause it was tore at the very top.

Yours are most likely worn, lol. I'm willing to bet they've been past due for replacement.

I will agree with princelybug, get them checked or do the check yourself. I really need my azz kicked for waiting as long as i did.

I wont say it will fix your idle per say, depending on whats wrong. When i say idle , i mean its just smooth and no vibrations like before. Also depending on what your lookin for if i were you, look into the exlr8 mounts as an option. I didnt go that route because of what i read about them being a lil more harsh. I cant do the rattlin in the car thing unless it done by my sub......lol

xlr8/innovative mounts are awesome... they increase performance/drive-ability... at the cost of excessive vibrations

I paid 122.00 for the front and i wanna say 55.00 or so for the side. Depending on where you buy prices vary. I told the parts person at my dealer if they dont price match i will buy online and they lose the sell.

She was good enuff to give me wholesale price on all my parts, so i use them all the time now.
