Picking up TL in am, thinking should get RL

This is a killer on me.

The TL great value, putting equity from Honda in, payments will be 100 more a month.

The RL, lots of fun toys, if I put 10K down, price will be the same as the TL.

The asset manager in me says get TL, drive for two years, then get RL, hope by then they put better wheels on it, and make some more fun toys.

Any thoughts!

What does the RL really have over the TL?

Thanks for your input.

although the TL is an amazing vehicle...the RL is more of an older mans car and it has more HP, it has more toys, and its bigger. its more luxurious....

The RL isn't really that much bigger, only in the back seat by a very small amount.

I just got the 05 TL a month ago. Looking back, i should have spent the extra 150/mo and went with the RL. If you have the extra 100 or so bucks a month, go with the RL. I do kick myself in the ass everytime i see the RL cruising by. Either way, you cant go wrong. Still Love the TL though.

Tl-N did you lease, as the RL would be about $200 more a month, if you didn't put any more money down.

The only reason I don't run straight to the RL, is I think we will see some nice changes on the 2007 model.

One thing RL has is first year status and all that that entails
Have you checked out that board?
Have you read about other first year cars?

RL has SH-AWD, traffic navi w/o touch screen, on-star and still 33%+- more cost.

Did I miss anything?

I feel RL is a little heavier. If Acura could boost its power more, I'd love to have it right away. That's the only downside to me.

I bought the TL. I was considering putting a bit more $$ down and going with the RL. Being self employed, i could have a really good month or an average month, since i had a good month, i looked back and say....shoulda...but maybe next month i may say, glad i didnt

I agree, there will definitely be changes in both the RL and the TL

I received the RL as a loaner when I took my TL in for service. All I can say is that I am glad I DIDN'T buy the RL. The car is extremely sluggish when compared the the TL (mine is the 6MT) and it simply didn't feel 15k better in any way shape or form. I liked a couple of the features (electric tilt telescoping wheel, the lack of a tape deck, MP3 compat etc) but I found that I really missed my TL. I also felt that the lack of a touch screen nav, the extra weight, the dial control (Acura's blatant rip off of i-Drive), and sadly the performance left me wanting more.

I like the RL, but I like my TL much more!!

IF you can afford the RL, I would also look at some other cars in that price range, really opens up your options.

I couldn't consider a 50K car without a V8 and rear-wheel drive

That has SH-AWD, which should give you equal if not better control then RWD. I do agree for the price it has a severe lack of power.

Great car, look forward to the few years enjoyment from it, and then a 2007 RL.

Thanks for all the input.

And the TL won.
